Lions club of Nalgonda Sneha an exclusive women club, distributed note books,pens,pencils ,school bags, to 1000 student of  7 adopted govt. schools,ZPHS, Cherlapalli,Marriguda, Boyan Palli, Kummariwada, Jbs, Ramgiri, Pangal .Conduted senar on raging and eve teasing. Opened 3 vocational training centres for poor and deserving women in computer training,sewing and beautician courses freely for 80 poor women. Planted 2000 saplings at cherla palli village, Provided uniforms to 60 orphans at cherlapalli. Conducted health check up distributed free medicines for 30 inmates  at Dandempally old age home.Participated and distributed phamplets ,at population day rally. 
Lions club of Nalgonda conducted a mega multi speciality health checkup camp at Bollepally village in 13 specialities , where in 800 patients were given free consultation and free medicines given and 40 units blood collected and given to Govt. Hospital.
L C Nalgonda elite donated School bags and note books to 150 poor students at govt. Anantharam village. Blood donation camp organised at Yellareddy Gudem and 35 units of blood collected.
L C Nalgonda Diamond planted 140 saplings at ZPHS, Raju peta, and Puli mamidi villages and donated donated note books , stainless steel plates to 50 poor students.conducted general health camp in 5 specialities at lions bhavan ,Nalgonda and 300 patients examined and given free medicines.
L C Nakrekal donated books, bags ,pens and pencil to 200 poor students at Local govt. Primary School  
L C Suryapet Spurthy planted 500 saplings at ZPH School. Distributed cloths to 50 inmates of Banjara orphanage at Suryapet. Adopted 2 poor students for giving free education up to X std. Participated environmental awareness Rally.
L C miryalguda provided Uniforms 100 students at local govt. school and planted 300 saplings, at Vasavi college.
L C Deverkonda planted 350 saplings, at eye hospital, presented note books and stationary at govt. primary school. Conducted eye screening for 450 patients and 80 IOL suegeries performed. Donated Rs. 5000 to poor student and Rs. 16000 to engineering student.
L C Suyapet planted 100 saplings at eye hospital and daily moon school.
L C Kotha gudem Singareni, conducted eye screening for 200 patients and 37 cataract surgeries performed , 30 units blood collected  and donated Rs.5000 for performimg marriage of poor couple.
L C Kothagudem Challengers opened Vision centre ,screened 450 eye patients.
L C Bhadrachalam donated Rs.20000 to poor engineering student for pursuing his education.Rice donated to flood victims.
L C Kothagudem Akits collected 53 units of blood.
L C Manuguru planted 1500 saplings and provided gaurds. Rs.10000 donated to poor engineering student.Stationary donated to local SC hostel.  Rs.5000 to poor patient for treatment .
L C Khammam planted 800 saplings at 4 local colleges.
L C Thallada donated Rs.5000 to cancer patient and 50 trees planted with guards.
L C Penuballi donated school uniforms and books  to 32 students govt. school Pallepenta village.
L C Sattupalli adopted a special school for mentally retarted children.
L C Madhira donated books to students of local govt. school
L C Stambadri conduted health checkup at SC AND ST hostel and at urban health centre.

L C Wyra planted 125 saplings and provided guards and planted 1000 saplings with out guards. Conducted eye screening for 800 patients and 250 cataract IOL surgeries performed ,Donated Rs.5000 to engineering student and 30 sarrries were donated to poor women..

ACTIVITIES REPORT FOR September-2010

1676 flashes of light serving the needy of the community of Nalgonda and Khammam revenue districts of Andhra Pradesh. The beacons of service finding new and creative ways of serving in the fields Peace, food drives, youth ,environment ,educational services,eye care, blood donation and other health related services.
The highlight program of the district this month are Peace rallies taken up by 48 clubs at a time with more than 200000 people including youth on 21st September “World Peace day” and took peace pledge at 11.00am. District collectors and Police superintendents and people’s representatives under the leadership of 1st and 2nd VDGs organized successfully while our District Governor Lion Bheemaiah Jagini took peace Pledge along with the Hon’ble Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri K.Roshaiah and other ministers Under the able guidance of our PID Ln Chigurupati Varaprasad.The Program was a grand sucess and 1crore people of AP watched program live telecasted by many regional TV channels. This is first of its kind of Public relations activity conducted by all the districts of AP (324-C Multiple) together at a time.
Another innovative program FOOD DRIVE asper the call given by our President SID, our district organized free food offered to more than 2000 poor muslims,and new cloths offered to more than 300 poor people on the occasion of RAMADAN (Id ul-fitr) through L.C Kothagudem Singareni, Nalgonda, Diamond, Elite, Sneha and Universal under the able guidance of our cabinet secretary Lion M.Riazuddin.
Thousands eye donation Pledges were given and motivated , Eminent teachers, Engineers and Journalists were honored by all the clubs of our district this month.
LC Wyra donated Rs.60000 for construction of water tank at local temple, 203 spectacles given for the patients for whom the cataracts performed in earlier months and donated Rs.40000 to a deserving patient R.Muralikrishna suffering from”hypogama globinemia”.Given cloths for 70 students of PS Pulipadu.
LC Kothagudem donated 55 saris and food offered to poor muslim women on the occasion of RAMADAN and 25 school uniforms given to poor students of local govt., school.
LC Manuguru, 1500 fruit and flower bearing plants were distributed 550 tree guards provided for the saplings planted earlier. Eye screenings conducted for 106, 40 IOL surgeries performed and 60 spectacles given for deserving patients.
LC Nalgonda sneha sucessfully completed the vocational training program for 80 poor women in computers, tailoring and beautician coursed and presented certificates to beneficiaries, visited and offered free food served personally to inmates at Old Age Home at Dandempally village.
LC Suryapet spurthy conducted eye screening for 250 and 45 cataract surgeries performed. 50 uniforms distributed to poor students of Local govt. junior college. 100 units blood collected from students of Arvindaksha engineering college Suryapet.
LC Penuballi conducted eye screening for 150 and 45 cataract surgeries performed. Donated 34 Uniforms to poor students of PS Kommugudem.
LC Kothagudem Singareni donated Rs.20000 to a poor B.Ed, student to pursue studies.
LC Paloncha KLR collected and donated Rs.47190 to Pulse Polio program.
LC Miryalguda Tharuna donated 40 School uniforms to poor students of PS Kishtapur.
LC Nakerekal organized eye camp at Gudivada where in 60 patients examined and 8 IOL surgeries performed and gave notebooks to 60 poor students govt., primary school.
LC Nalgonda diamond Dental checkup for more than 300 students and distributed Tooth Paste and brushes to 500 students of Geetha Vignana and DIET schools at Nalgonda.
LC Miryalguda Walkers gave 30 Rose Plants at girls high school and gave prizes to winners at Mandal division games.
LC Miryalguda donated plates and glasses for 200 students of ZPHS Mangalapalli, Donated a Mike set to ZPHS Vemulapalli and donated Rs.10,000 for furniture to ZPHS Allagadapa.
LC Ramannapet donated steel Plates and glasses to 150 students of adopted school at Govt. girls primary school.
LC Nalgonda Elite donated stainless steel plates and glasses to 100 students of Kashawari gudem and Thipparthy.
LC Valigonda organized BP and Sugar checkup camp for 300 poor people at Puligilla village.

Membership growth month October witnessed mind blowing growth activity and 84 members added in the district and all in all total membership growth recorded at 393 members with an extension of 7 clubs at the end of October. District 324-C9 positioned it self on the top of Multiple 324-C, 4th place in the country and 6th in the world in terms of growth. Note worthy point is all the clubs paid for fist half International dues and 30 out 40 clubs also paid advance towards second half dues.
As far as the service activities are concerned,clubs observed Mother Theresa's Birth Day, World Lions Service day and Voluntary blood donation day and The major sight first programmes organized by LC WYRA where in 800 eye checkups and 325 IOL surgeries performed, Donated and installed Mahathma Gandhi's statue in the center of town on 2nd October and 30 sarries were donated to inmates local old age home.The second biggest activities taken up by LC NALGONDA five Multi speciality general health checkup camps in the month at Narketpally, Nalgonda, Indugula, and Koppole vilages where in 1400 patients examined,free medicines, breads and fruits given to all patients, 21 women given free mammography tests,25 IOL surgeries performed.Note worthy point at Indugula village is all the 4000 people of that village signed eye donation pledge cards in the presence of Sri Veera Pandyan Trainee IAS officer which has drawn the attention of Electronic and print media.60 units blood collected and given to Govt., Hospital Nalgonda.LC Nalgonda Sneha organised Health checkup camp and 80 sarries wre donated to women prisoners local district Jail Nalgonda.
LC Miryalguda Tharuna conducted 2 blood donation camps collected 162 units and gave to Govt., Hospital, Eye camp conducted screened 300 patients and performed 30 IOL surgeries at Tripuram village, Rs.5000 donated to a pregnant woman for delivery expenses. LC Manuguru donated 2 sewing machienes and unifroms to 30 girl students.LC Suryapet donated 20 walkers to physically challenged and conducted eye surgical camp and performed 33 IOL surgeries.LC Kothagudem Singareni gave new cloths to 20 poor women and performed marriage of poor muslim girl at a cost of Rs.30000/-. LC Khammam organized blood donation camp at PG college of Kakatiya University collected 50 units of blood.LC Kothgudem offered lunch to 25 inmates at local old age home,offered sweets and fruits to 120 poor students.LC Bhadrachalam offered food at for 25 inmates of local old age home,collected 70 units of blood at the camp organized at police day. Paloncha KLR arranged free computer course for100 SC/ST students,organised seminar on anti ragging at KLR college,eye donation pledge by 200 students, Swine flu homeo pills given to 2000 residents of sekharam Banjar village. LC Kothagudem Millenium arranged food for 25 inmates of local Orphanage.LC Suryapet Spurthy gave 5 walkers to old age persons and conducted eye screeining for inmates of orphanage. LC Nalgonda Diamond organized 2 blood donation camps collected 50 units and given uniforms to 25 poor girls at girls junior college.LC Kothagudem Millenium offered New cloths and food at local old age home.LC Kothagudem singareni organized traffic awareness program.LC Madira gave swine flu medicines to 2000 students and villagers.LC Nalgonda Elite Organised a 5 speciality haelth checkup camp at Chandana Palli village 300 poor benefited free medicines given and 2 blood donation camps conducted 120 units collected. LC Huzurnagar conducted blood donation camp16 units collected.LC Deverkonda organized eye camp 600 patients screened and 70 IOL surgeries performed.LC Miryaluda Walkers organized Health checkup camp for 350 old age people at Wadapalli village.LC Sathupalli conducted eye surgical camp and 46 IOL surgeries performed.
